Choosing where to apply to medical school can be tough. Use this list of medical schools to help you get informed about all of your options for becoming a doctor.

I wanted to make the process easy by giving you a medical school list that is arranged alphabetically by state.

Why?

Your best bet for getting into medical school is attending a medical school from your home state. So if you aren't sure where to begin applying look no further than home.

I know they say everything is bigger in Texas, but not sure as to why they need a separate application service when applying to their medical schools.

Medical School List Recap

Remember your best chance of getting into medical school is applying to the medical schools from the state where you are from.

Why?

Because typically students who attend medical school in a particular state ultimately end up practicing medicine in that state. 

Here's a perfect example of this...

One of my classmates from undergrad at Northwestern University in Illinois has this medical track record.

She went to medical school at University of Illinois-Chicago. Then went to the University of Chicago Pritzker for her residency.

Ironically, she thought about doing a fellowship but didn't want to leave Illinois despite the fellowship just being two years.

Now her case may be a bit extreme to end up in Chicago for all of her medical education because I've been in major cities throughout the country completing my education. 

However, I attended medical school in New York and there is a high probability I will end up practicing medicine in New York after graduation.

This just goes to show how important your list of medical schools that you will consider applying to can have a significant influence on the rest of your life.

Not saying it will automatically happen this way but keep this in mind.
